Happy Birthday Kenley

I can not believe that a year has already passed. My precious baby girl turned 1 last Thursday. We have had such an amazing year. We were told that as soon as you had kids you would not even remember what your life was like before them, and I can not even explain how true that is. She has been such a joy in our lives and we don't even know how we felt complete before she was in our home.

Kenley is such a big girl now.........she is walking all over the place and has such a fun personality. She loves to laugh, play and climb on anything and everything. She is saying more words now really looking more like a little girl than my baby.

We had a lot of fun celebrating her first birthday. Since our family is split up between central AR and NWA we decided to have 2 parties for Kenley so that we could include as much family as possible. On Thursday night (her actual birthday) we had a small party at our house so that my granny's, papa, Aunt April, and the Bartholmey's could attend. We were also fortunate enough that her Great Great Aunt Billie was in town from Nashville, TN and got to join us for the party.

Kenley's Great Granny D made her cupcakes for the party and I painted a birthday canvas for the table.

When you ask Kenley how old she is she will hold up 1 finger. She is so smart! :)

Kenley with some of her presents in front of her bithday banner that I made.

This was my favorite part of her party, although most people complained about it. haha! I made some stationary for everyone that was at the party to write Kenley a little note. Then we took a picture of Kenley with all of her guests. I will put all of the notes and pictures in a scrapbook for Kenley so that she will always have a picture and note from everyone that attended her first birthday. Thanks everyone for taking time to write such sweet notes to our little girl!

Kenley with "aunt" Shelley and "uncle" Jon. And, her future best friend (in Shelley's tummy!) We can't wait for Baby Bartholmey to get here!

While we were still eating dinner Kenley got really excited about her presents and took one to Jon so that he could help her get started. She LOVES presents.

She really loves her clothes. Anytime she would open a new dress or outfit she would walk around the living room holding it up and showing it off to everyone. She is so funny.

Enjoying a Birthday Cupcake

After the party festivities in Sherwood, we packed up and headed to Springdale for another party. My parents were nice enough to open up their home so that we could throw a big party for Kenley in NWA for more family and friends to come and enjoy.

This is her cake table with a beautiful cake from Shelby Lynn's in Springdale. I highly recommend them.

Again, this is the birthday canvas that I painted for the party.

And her birthday banner that I made.

Kenley with mommy and daddy

Kenley loved showing off all of her gifts. Emma really enjoyed helping her open them and show them off too. This was so funny, they both wanted to play with the train so they found a way to compromise, Emma pushed Kenley all around the room on the train. They are so precious!!!!

Kenley and her smash cake

She got tired of picking it up so she just started leaning in and taking bites right off of it.

We some how missed grabbing a picture of it, but at one point she got tired and laid her head down on the cake. It was so cute. You can see the icing on the side of her face and in her hair from where she laid down.

We would like to thank everyone again for making our little girl's first birthday so special. We had so much fun celebrating the birthday and then watching the football game together afterward. We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends. We love you all! :)
